After completing a 10 week work placement at Hunter Area Pathology Service (HAPS) as part of her degree, Rachel graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology). Whilst always interested in the health and science sectors, it was during her work placement at HAPS that Rachel realised that the Pathology industry was her calling, in particular, Immunohaematology. After working 5 years in the Australian public pathology sector, Rachel spent 2 years in the United Kingdom as a registered Biomedical Scientist working in both public and private pathology labs in both immunohaematology and general haematology. On her return to Australia, Rachel moved into the commercial pathology sector where she spent 8 years as a Field Application Specialist and Blood Banking Product Specialist. In 2017, Rachel Joined Immulab as a Key Account Manager looking after NSW, QLD and ACT where she combines her business acumen with her love of teaching and training people. Still a country girl at heart, Rachel enjoys bushwalking the many tracks near her home and enjoying a nice wine with friends.
